What this means for you

AI⁴ is built so intelligence and authority stay separate. The system can help decide what should happen without automatically having the power to make it happen. When something consequential is at stake, you should still be the one who signs.

An AI can propose something. AI⁴ checks it against explicit rules. If it passes, the action can be frozen for review. Signing and sending still happen in your wallet or under your control. AI⁴ is not supposed to hold your keys or act as an autonomous trader.

Public Python package ai4-constrain (PyPI 0.7.0). Offline evaluate_only path; no model provider or API key required. Default evaluator: v0.1-regex.

Names vs token

.ai4 names are Polygon UNS ERC-721 names. $AI4 is a separate Solana token. Neither is required for the other. The token is not required to use the runtime.

Separate Solana ecosystem token. Not required to use ai4-constrain. Not required merely because something uses a .ai4 name.

Verify the mint character by character. A near-identical impersonator token exists.

.ai4 disclosures

  • .ai4 is a top-level namespace for AI agents.
  • Names are ERC-721 tokens on Unstoppable Domains' shared UNS registry on Polygon. AI⁴ does not operate its own registry or resolver.
  • Names resolve today in browsers and wallets that support Unstoppable's Web3 TLDs, including Brave. This is an on-chain alternate root, not DNS. Names do not resolve in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
  • Unstoppable withdrew its ICANN applications in August 2026. .ai4 has no ICANN application pending.
  • Names do not expire.
  • $AI4 is a separate SPL token on Solana. The token is not required to register or use a .ai4 name. Verify the mint; impersonators exist.
